ISN’T IT ANNOYING?
It’s summer so it’s pretty much a given that a lot of people travel, mainly fly since it still is the fastest way to g et around. And so it happened that I was one of these poor suckers flying to one of the European destinations.
The flight to my destination wasn’t all that bad, even with the four hour layover. Well, the skills of the pilot of the first part of my trip had a lot to be desired since he made everyone on board nearly puke. I don’t usually get sick on planes but I must admit I virtually passed out. But then I had four hours to get well, you’d say…
And this wasn’t even the beginning of the real nightmare. My husband joined me on our little vacation about a week after, however his luggage got lost. Not for the first time, I might add. Anyway, it was found (thank God!) and delivered three days later! But it was so badly damaged it’s pretty much useless for travel. To make things worse, it looked like the contents were searched through and some of the garment were quite dirty…Did the airlines take care of the issue at hand? Not quite. All we heard was “file a claim”…
So we followed through and went on with the rest of our stay. On our way back, my luggage was lost and damaged as well, believe or not! And it seemed as if the same thing happened to it; my garments were dirty as if they were thrown out and the suitcase thoroughly searched. I felt a bit violated. You check your luggage in and you trust these people to take proper care of it not to steal from you, damage your property and disrespect your private items that way!
Don’t you find it extremely annoying that despite paying all this money for the tickets, which keep getting more expensive by the minute,you get pretty crappy service? You’d think they would treat you at least with kindness and respect, but you couldn’t be more wrong. It seems that nowadays the passengers are more of a nuisance to the flight attendants and the airport personnel than anything else. And aren’t we the ones that give them their jobs and make this business turn?
