FRUSTRATED AT THE UNIVERSE…
I am extremely frustrated at the universe at the moment. It seems as if every time I turn around a corner and “see the light at the end of the tunnel”, I hit the wall.
As most of you know, I am in Italy right now. Love the country and I’m trying with all my might to enjoy the experience… And I thought being back in Italy would be great. Well, it’s not all I though it would (or could) be… I thought getting a job would be a piece of cake, and I guess the universe is showing me otherwise. “Don’t be so cocky, dear Maggie” – it seems to be saying.
I thought being an EU (European Union) citizen will have all the benefits and will open even more doors for me. As it happens, both sides (American and European) are closing all the doors every where I turn. Man, I feel like screaming! If I was a wolf, I’d be growling baring my teeth right about now (don’t quite now why teh wolf analogy but it seems to perfectly illustrate my mood at present).
So I’m left without a job and, what’s even worse, without a possibility of getting a good one. It sucks being me right now. And my pride …Oh, my pride…It will not le me rest… I feel as if I am wasting some of this precious time I have here on this gorgious island and the worst thing is not being able to change any of the circumstnaces… I cannot get a good job (or any job for that matter) and put all my education into a good use because of some screwed up regulations and the circumstances I happen to find myself in.
So here I am, in this beautiful place and utterly frustrated at the situation I have no control over. The only thing left seems to be shrugging my shoulders and saying “oh, what the heck” and enjoying Sicily as much as possible in current state of affairs…
