HELL’S KITCHEN-SEASON 4

I have been following the next season of “Hell’s Kitchen” and ‘oh my God!’- this is the worst team of aspiring chefs yet! They all have huge egos and little skill.  And Gordon Ramsey curses more than on any other season before. Watching it on your avarage American chanel ,one hears nothing but beeping every other word. Too abd I can’t enjoy it without the censorship…

And there is not even one single person that stands out and usually by this time (the season is winding up to an end) there are at least two, which only makes the competiotion more interesting. This season, there is noone!

But worse yet, they are all incredibly annoying. Especially Jen… This woman is so stuck up she cannot even see or appreciate when Gordon is giving her precious advice. Every tiem she opens her mouth nothing but self-praise comes out of it. So, if you’re so good Jen, what the hell are you doing in Hell’s Kitchen?!

Despite all these idiots, I still like watching the show because Gordon never dissapoints and always delivers good entertainment. Adn I am sort of looking forward to see which one of these ridiculous people will win…

FATIGUED

Simple pleasures continued

I have been so extremely tired lately… My mind does not seem to function as well as it should and no matter how much sleep I get, it never seems enough.

Every single muscle in my body aches and just thinking of exercise is making me cringe. But I get up half an hour earlier (most mornings; if I manage, that is) and do my little routine. And if my exhausted body screams for respite, then I try to squeeze in my work-out right after work. That, of course, on the condition that my feet don’t hurt too much from spending hours standing or walking and somehow I still can keep my eyes open and my body moving long enough to complete the exercise regime.

My friends (I’m amazed they don’t really complain) don’t hear from me days on end and when I finally muster enough energy to turn the computer on and check my mail, my answers are so eloquent they usually comprise of one or two sentences… And I used to write pages every day…

My dear husband (bless his heart) is the most patient man I know. The thought of sex, on most days, is simply a nuisance and when I begin to feel guilty near the end of the week for the lack of excitement toward his handsome self and somehow rally a semblance of vigor, the act is just not the same… Is it me? I wonder…

To top it all, my heart has been doing flips in my chest nearly every day, sometimes ending in debilitating dizzy spells. But according to the doctors, there is nothing wrong with me and I’m perfectly healthy. Oh hell!

TRUE BLOOD

April 21, 2009 - 9:08 pm No Comments

truebloodFor those of you who’ve never heard about the latest HBO flick, “True Blood” is about vampires and it’s based on the novels by Charleine Harris. Not only do all humans know about the existence of the vampire race but the vampires themselves are allowed to live among the humans (so-called ‘mainstreaming’). Now, there’s a twist, isn’t there?

The series has a great potential for a fresh new perspective on the old story about a human girl falling for a ‘tall, dark and handsome’ vampire however, we quickly find out that it isn’t so. First of all, it takes place in a small town somewhere in Louisiana, which means a lot of southern variety of speech (and when I say ‘a lot’, I do mean a lot! To the point that one simply must tune it out or otherwise turn it off altogether.)

Secondly, where is the ‘tall, dark and handsome’ vampire that the main female character (who in their right mind names their heroine Sookie?!) falls for? Because tell you the truth, Bill Compton is far from it…

Thirdly, as funny as the first few episodes are, the whole series quickly turns sour and simply weird (and not in a good sense of the word)… There are many lines in the story that simply don’t make any sense, no matter how far you stretch your imagination.

So would I advise anyone to watch it? Not quite, unless you feel like wasting a few evenings on something that is absolutely not worth it… There are many other vampire shows that are so much more entertaining.
